Gary’s career in real estate began in 1984 as a vice president of Goldome Bank in NYC responsible for the development of the commercial underlying mortgage department. He helped to build the department into the most profitable department of Goldome Bank until he left to work with Citibank in 1987 charged with analyzing and disposing of its distressed real estate portfolio. Due to his growing expertise in the area of distressed real estate Gary developed exclusive relationship with numerous financial institutions in the tri-state area to analyze, acquire and or develop a turnaround strategy to either sell or restructure the portfolio.
In 1990 Gary was the founding partner of MOC Capital Partners, Inc. The company developed relationships with numerous funds that co-invested capital to acquire, JV or lend money against a variety of real estate assets in the tri state area. This was also where he began to work on branding and development of properties. Gary was a founding partner of CMA Development Group, LLC which between 2004-2007 acquired and developed real estate projects in excess of $100,000,000.
Gary received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has served on the board of transplant foundation and is still very active as an advocate for Donate Life.
